Wesley LifeForce Suicide Memorial Service - Photography & Videography Coverag

The Campaign

Wesley LifeForce partnered with Curated Visuals to document their Suicide Memorial Service at Canberra Southern Cross Club — a morning created for remembrance, healing, and community connection for those affected by suicide.

Our goal was to provide respectful and understated visual storytelling, delivering photo and video coverage that honoured the space, the stories, and the strength of those who gathered.

The Challenge

With only a two-hour window and a deeply emotional setting, our brief was to document the event without disrupting it.
We needed to balance discretion and presence — capturing the tone of the service while being sensitive to attendees’ privacy and emotional experience.
This approach reflects what we’ve outlined in our blog on using video at corporate events and conferences — where alignment on tone and unobtrusive coverage are essential.

The Solution

We delivered documentary-style coverage, allowing the event to unfold naturally while focusing our lenses on:

  • Guest arrivals and quiet conversations
  • Keynote speeches and ceremonial moments
  • Personal gestures, hugs, and rituals of remembrance

The result was a 1–2 minute event recap film and a suite of 50–100 professionally edited photographs, offering Wesley LifeForce a visual archive for community updates, future campaigns, and internal reporting.

Project Objectives

Capture the Tone

Create visuals that gently reflect the spirit of the service.

Support Awareness

Visual Style & Tone

  • Tone: Quiet, reflective, and dignified
  • Style: Natural light, soft framing, minimal interference
  • Audio: Ambient sound from the event paired with subtle, emotive music
